Scot strikes to the core of marketing and branding challenges with pinpoint strategies, creative ideas and cost effective solutions. His ideas have been instrumental in some of California’s most successful branding and marketing projects. He has developed award-winning campaigns for government and has extensive experience in retail business-to-consumer categories and business-to-business sectors.
Also, Scot has been instrumental in developing brands and marketing campaigns for statewide associations seeking membership recruitment, retention and non-dues revenue streams. Scot was founder and CEO of Crocker/Flanagan, an award-winning advertising and marketing agency before selling the firm in 2008. He joined with Lucy to form Crocker & Crocker in 2011.
Scot was named PR Professional of the Year by the Sacramento Public Relations Association, Marketer of the Year by the American Marketing Association and Small Business Person of the Year by the Sacramento Metro Chamber, in addition to numerous other honors and awards.
He has served on many professional association boards of directors including SPRA, AMA, SiOC, CAPIO and EO. Scot is a Senior Fellow with the American Leadership Forum and frequent speaker and columnist on marketing and branding trends.
Lucy Eidam Crocker
Lucy Eidam Crocker is Northern California’s leading social marketing, public outreach and public affairs strategist. For almost three decades, she’s managed flood control, water rate increase, water supply, economic development and public works projects on behalf of her clients. She set up shop in 1995, growing LucyCo Communications into a highly successful public relations and public affairs firm. In 2011, she added Scot Crocker as a partner and the pair formed Crocker & Crocker. The agency is the region’s premiere public outreach and public affairs firm due to Lucy’s leadership.
She is always on the forefront of issues that impact key elected officials, stakeholders, community members and business owners. Lucy is committed to stakeholder and community involvement and has spearheaded hundreds of high-level programs in the Sacramento Valley and Northern California. Her work allows community groups and the public to have a say in important projects and programs that affect their lives: reliable water supplies. new bridges. improved levees. public works facilities. And economic development projects.
Lucy began specializing in behavior change outreach in the early 90s. She is the company’s chief outreach strategist for large-scale, comprehensive social marketing causes such as water conservation, flood preparedness, emergency response and solid waste and recycling.
Lucy likes to roll up her sleeves and lead controversial and high-profile projects to successful outcomes through public outreach. She’s done it hundreds of times. Lucy is also the firm’s lead facilitator. She helps with conflict resolution by serving as an unbiased facilitator in small working group situations or in community workshops and forums so they are set up for success and conflicts do not arise. She’s often brought into projects to serve specifically in this role.
She is appointed to the Association of California Water Agencies Communications Committee and chairs the Sacramento Metro Chamber’s Water Resources Committee. She was recently on the West Sacramento and Sacramento Metro Chamber Board of Directors. She is one of the few local women members of the Sacramento chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization, an elite group of business leaders from around the world. She is also chair of the WEAVE Retail Advisory Board which she is credited for founding on behalf of WEAVE.
Every year, she serves on related committees and organizations that benefit water, public works and economic development. Lucy is also a founding member of the Carmichael Water Buffalos. She speaks at conferences throughout the state and is considered a leader within her specialty areas.
In 2015, she received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Sacramento Public Relations Association and she is credited for winning hundreds of awards for her client programs throughout the years.
As a graduate of the Communications Department at the University of Oregon, she’s a die-hard Ducks football fan.
